Sun World Ba Na Hills - Korean Chef

 I. JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Korean Chef working in the unique setting of Sun World Ba Na Hills Amusement Park. As a Korean Chef in this dynamic environment, you will be responsible for creating and preparing authentic Korean dishes, managing the kitchen operations, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Korean cuisine, demonstrate creativity in menu development, and possess strong leadership and organizational skills.

II. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create, prepare, and present a variety of authentic Korean dishes according to established recipes and standards, while catering to the unique needs and preferences of visitors to Sun World Ba Na Hills Amusement Park;
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus that showcase Korean cuisine while considering the diverse tastes and dietary restrictions of our guests;
• Manage the kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation, ensuring the highest level of food quality and presentation;
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment;
• Oversee inventory management and control food costs by efficiently utilizing ingredients and minimizing waste, considering the specific requirements of the amusement park environment;
• Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff, including sous chefs, cooks, and other team members, ensuring consistency in food preparation and delivery;
• Provide recommendations and expertise in the selection and sourcing of Korean ingredients, maintaining a strong focus on quality and authenticity;
• Other related responsibilities assigned by managers.

• Native Korean, In-depth knowledge of Korean cuisine, cooking techniques, and traditional ingredients, with the ability to adapt to the unique demands of an amusement park setting;
• Strong experience as a Korean Chef in the hospitality industry, preferably in an amusement park or similar environment;
• Able to communicate effectively in English;
• Strong culinary skills with the ability to create visually appealing and delicious dishes that cater to a diverse audience;
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
• Creative mindset with the ability to introduce new dishes and concepts that align with the amusement park experience, while maintaining the essence of Korean cuisine;
