Laundry Manager/ Quản lý giặt là

- Understand the policies and procedures pertaining to housekeeping operation and work with Assistant Executive Housekeeper to ensure all manuals are up to date.

- Understand the hotel’s general policies & procedures and align all laundry activities and your personal actions as a manager.

- Maximize the use of available technology and systems to get results.

- Ensure the facilities, equipment and assigned areas under your supervision are maintained in excellent condition.

- Ensure that all storage rooms, pantries are well-stocked and well-organized.

- Supervise and coordinate the subordinate to make sure that all services offered in the laundry department are always available, and are carried out with the utmost efficiency and courtesy.

- Attend training and meetings when required.

- Adhere to the laundry department operational budget and ensure that all costs are controlled and expenditure approved.

- Have a complete knowledge and understanding about the different chemical products to use them properly, economically and the different material to treat them in the correct way and the different machines to use and treat them properly by self-directed learning and participation in department or hotel sponsored training programs.

- Have knowledge of laundry product; implement all laundry procedures and standards as stated.

- Have a good understanding of the hotel’s emergency procedures and ensure implementation of those related to housekeeping department

- Supervise areas of responsibility that they are operating smoothly and their related services are available and carried out with the most efficiency and courtesy.

- Ensure the quality of laundering, dry cleaning, drying, pressing and folding of guest garment, uniforms as well as for all linen and correct formulas if necessary.

- Follow up on all damaged items according to the standards and procedures.

- Supervise the acceptance and distribution of all articles to ensure adequate supply of linen as well as the efficient handling of guests and managers’ garment and uniforms laundry and dry cleaning.

- Suggest any purchase necessary to the Executive Housekeeper.

- Be responsible for ordering cleaning supplies and guest supplies and ensure their correct handling and stocking.

- Prepare a monthly statistic.

- Run in coordination with the Housekeeping Department inventories of linen and uniforms.

- Prepare rosters, scheduling the employees according to hotel occupancy and linen usage.

- Coordinate with the Engineering Department on repairs and the maintenance follow- up.

- Ensure the proper handling and control of lost and found items as well as all found items in guest laundry and dry cleaning.

- Handle guest complaints in accordance with hotel policy, reporting all complaints to the Executive Housekeeper.

- Good in English communication

- Experience Minimum 2 years of Laundry leadership and Laundry operations experience in 5-star hotel/resort

- Strong supervisory and organizational skills

- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
