Purchasing Supervisor/ Purchasing Officer

• Control custody, usage, routing and authorization of purchase orders, including numerical sequence control.

• Prepare price comparison and select vendors / suppliers, including ongoing programs of comparative shopping in terms of location, price, quality, consistency of supplies and delivery time.

• Search for alternative suppliers and performs market surveys in order to be aware of market conditions. Interview vendors and evaluates their products and capabilities as suppliers. Obtain price quotes regularly from vendors and compare quotes with the specifications and consistent availability of items;

• Delegate assignment to and supervise subordinate. Follow up with suppliers on delivery time, and complaints / comments from the department as user. Perform a broad range of supervisory responsibilities over professional vendors;

• Periodically check receiving tasks and the hotel store rooms.

• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease delivery lead times, streamline work processes, work cooperatively and jointly to provide high quality service. Recommend blacklisting of suppliers who are noted to deliver sub-standard and expensive products, and/or untimely deliveries;

• Follow the systems, procedures and rules set up for purchasing department and entire hotel.

At least 2 year of similar position experience at Resort/Hotel
