2. Coordinates and ensure all the guest rooms are always in presentable and state of readiness.

3. Responsible for ensuring that all rules and regulations regarding safe working practices are complied with

4. Handles specific job requests as directed in an efficient and timely manner

5. Participates in preventative maintenance programs as directed

6. Assigns specific tasks and job requests to subordinate staff and supervises their day to day activity

7. Co-ordinates with Department Heads regarding specific maintenance activities

8. Reports any abnormal or extraordinary incidents to the Assistant Chief Engineer for his action and follow up.

9. Assists in the maintenance of efficient administration preparing and submitting reports on time as directed.

10. Checks and maintains the hotel air-conditioning systems, sanitary systems, waste water treatment systems, freezers, fridges, fire systems, swimming pools and any additional mechanical and electrical systems to ensure they are functioning properly

11. Ensures that the plant room, work shop and related areas, and tools and equipment are kept in a clean and tidy manner

12. Liaises with the Director of Engineering/Assistant Chief Engineer or designate to order specific spare parts or equipment necessary to execute effective maintenance

13. Co-ordinates with fellow duty engineers regarding engineering work in progress

14. Coaches, disciplines and develops subordinate employees.

• At least 2 years experience as the relevant position at 5 star international hotel.
