Director of Sales - MICE

InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort is looking for an experienced Director of Sales – MICE.

This is a terrific career opportunity based in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City or on property to work with a seasoned, internationally focused team in one of Asia’s iconic luxury resorts. You will currently be in a similar proactive role in a luxury environment, with a results-oriented mindset and with a passion to hunt new business and win in this highly competitive arena.

Ideally you will also have Incentive and Meetings experience and possibly Group Leisure, and you will work closely with the DOSM to determine new strategies to identify and secure MICE, weddings and social events.

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills are required, as is the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders within the resort and with clients and customers.

Required skills:

• Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.

• Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

• Good Communication and writing skills

Qualifications:

• bachelor's degree in hospitality/Tourism/Business Management. Related fields: English as a Foreign Language/Marketing.

Experience:

• 5+ years of direct sales experience in Asia and ideally the US or European markets. Overseas applicants welcome.
