Assistant Sales Manager

Assist the Sales Manager in developing and executing the resort's sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue goals

Manage a portfolio of key accounts, including corporate, association, and group clients

Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities, such as group events, conferences, and leisure travelers

Respond to inquiries and coordinate site visits and proposals for prospective clients

Negotiate and finalize sales contracts, room blocks, and other agreements in a timely manner

Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to align pricing and package offerings with market demand

Provide regular sales reports and analysis to the Sales Manager and other department heads

Monitor and report on the performance of the sales team, including individual and team-based metrics

Identify training needs and provide coaching and mentorship to sales team members

Participate in the planning and execution of sales-related events, conferences, and trade shows

Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices in hotel sales

Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to sales activities

Perform other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager or Director of Sales and Marketing

Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field

2-4 years of experience in hotel or resort sales, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role

Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing a client base

Strong negotiation and contract management skills

Proficient in using sales and customer relationship management (CRM) software

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Ability to analyze and interpret market data, forecast trends, and develop strategic sales initiatives

Familiarity with the resort and group travel industry, including pricing strategies and industry best practices

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client needs

Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Certified Hotel Sales Professional (CHSP) or similar certification is preferred
