RESTAURANT & BAR MANAGER

• The Restaurant & Bar Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the F&B outlets of the Property including its restaurant, bar, room and pool terrace service.

• Work with Exco and Executive Chef to achieve the F&B business objectives and meet/exceed financial targets.

• Lead and manage the F&B service operations, keeping operations productive, safe, and sustainably profitable.

• Lead execution of strategies and plans to improve growth and profitability of the F&B outlets of the Property.

• Exercise sound business decision-making, develop and manage budgets, procure sensibly and sustainably while managing costs to agreed business objectives.

• Provide direction and functional leadership for F&B outlet operations.

• Ensure superior guest services and compliance with high quality operational standards including effective inventory management and systematic FF&E inspections and preventive maintenance.

• Train, develop and motivate the F&B service team to meet and improve operations standards on a continual basis while attending to their developmental needs through coaching, mentoring, and helping them to improve their vocational knowledge, skills and attributes.

• Recruit, develop and retain talent to sustain and grow the F&B outlet operations.

• Work effectively with other units and departments to improve operations and services of the Property.

• An Asian hospitality group is seeking to appoint a highly-motivated hotel operations professional to lead the maintenance and engineering function of its award-winning flagship Property in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

• The Property is a unique manor-style urban resort by the Saigon River and has achieved an international reputation for its boutique luxury accommodation, restaurant and bar, and is a popular weddings and events destination offering a unique hospitality experience to its guests.

• We are looking for an individual with work experience in maintenance and engineering management, particularly of small to medium sized upscale and luxury hotels in Vietnam.

• You will have the opportunity to work with international-class design and building services professionals including architects, building and engineering consultants and contractors.

Tertiary or vocational qualifications in F&B management, product knowledge and craft skills including sommelier and/or barista certification.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 7 years of F&B management and operations experience with reputable upscale and luxury restaurants and bars.

• Experience in Vietnam is essential.

• Familiar with F&B outlet management; cost management; health, safety and quality assurance; F&B staff training and mentoring including development and updating policies, procedures, SOPs and training manuals; brand reputation and customer relationship management; and business reporting.

• Experience with relevant hotel and property technologies and applications.
