Public Area Supervisor

 JOB DESCRIPTION

• Supervise daily housekeeping operations in all public areas, including lobbies, restaurants, function rooms, offices, and back-of-house areas.
• Ensure all public spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained in accordance with brand standards.
• Inspect public areas regularly, identify issues, and coordinate with Engineering and other departments for prompt resolution.
• Lead, train, and monitor the Public Area Attendants to deliver consistent service.
• Manage inventory and usage of cleaning chemicals, tools, and amenities for public areas.
• Handle guest feedback regarding cleanliness and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Maintain records of inspections, cleaning schedules, and staff performance.

Pre-Opening / Set-up Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing opening inventories for cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
• Help organize the set-up of housekeeping pantries and storage areas for public spaces.
• Participate in recruitment, training, and orientation of Public Area Attendants.
• Develop SOPs and cleaning schedules for all public spaces.
• Conduct mock cleaning trials and operational rehearsals to ensure readiness before opening.

• Previous experience in Housekeeping/Public Area operations in a 4- or 5-star hotel; supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
• Basic English communication; additional languages are a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment handling, and safety standards.
• Guest-oriented, responsible, and able to work under pressure.
