OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
The Receiving Officer is responsible for ensuring that all goods delivered to the company are accurately received, inspected, and recorded in the system. This role involves verifying the quality and quantity of incoming materials, coordinating with suppliers and internal departments, and maintaining proper documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in hospitality, hotel, or F&B receiving operations is a plus.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Check the quality, quantity, and specifications of goods and report discrepancies or damages.
- Record all received goods in the inventory management system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with suppliers and purchasing team to resolve delivery issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the receiving area.
- Assist with periodic stock counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, hygiene, and safety regulations during receiving activities.
- Prepare and maintain accurate receiving documentation and files for audit purposes.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse, kitchen, bar, and purchasing teams to ensure smooth operations
KEY FUNCTIONS
Receiving and Inspection
- Ensure accurate and timely receipt of all goods.
- Verify quantity, quality, and condition against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
Inventory Control
- Record all incoming goods in the system.
- Assist in stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Compliance and Control
- Maintain proper records of receiving reports and invoices.
- Follow company SOPs and comply with food safety and health standards.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with purchasing, finance, and requesting departments.
- Coordinate with suppliers to resolve any receiving issues.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in receiving, warehouse, or store operations (hospitality industry preferred).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
- Basic understanding of inventory management processes and documentation.
- Ability to lift and move goods safely; knowledge of safe handling procedures.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
