Engineering Supervisor

Engineering Operations & Maintenance

Supervise daily maintenance and repair works for hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and staff areas.

Ensure all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems operate efficiently and reliably.

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance according to schedules.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests, breakdowns, and emergency situations.

Team Supervision & Coordination

Supervise, assign tasks, and coordinate engineering technicians during shifts.

Ensure adequate manpower coverage for daily operations and emergency response.

Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and performance feedback to engineering staff.

Enforce safety procedures, discipline, and grooming standards within the team.

Safety, Compliance & Standards

Ensure full compliance with health, safety, fire, and environmental regulations.

Monitor and enforce proper implementation of safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Support fire safety systems testing and emergency drills.

Ensure engineering operations comply with hotel policies and brand standards.

Preventive Maintenance & Asset Care

Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to minimize breakdowns and downtime.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports.

Monitor the condition of tools, equipment, and spare parts; report repair or replacement needs.

Coordination & Operational Support

Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and other departments to support smooth hotel operations.

Support pre-opening activities, renovations, and improvement projects when required.

Liaise with external contractors and service providers as assigned.

Cost Control & Reporting

Assist in controlling maintenance costs and minimizing waste.

Support inventory control of engineering supplies and spare parts.

Prepare and submit operational reports as required by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma or technical certification in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or related fields.

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance; supervisory experience preferred.

Experience in a 4–5 star hotel or international hotel brand is an advantage.

Strong technical knowledge in building maintenance and hotel engineering systems.

Good leadership, supervision, and team coordination skills.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Basic computer skills for reporting and maintenance tracking.

Good command of English is an advantage.
