Assistant Manager - Security

• To assists the Security Manager in ensuring the smooth operations of the security aspect of the entire hotel.
• Assists in the preparation and updates of the Security Departmental Operations Manual.
• Assists to conduct regular communications meetings and ensures that departmental briefings and meetings are effective and conducted as necessary.
• Compiles and records data for Security Control.
• Maintains the daily Log Book.
• Ensures the timely submission of all guest/employee incident reports.
• Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to ensure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
• Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
• Continuously monitors installed safety devices for emergency readiness.
• Ensures patrol been carried out in all public areas, restaurants, guest floors, offices, plant rooms and all other areas of the hotel, ensuring safety, security and comfort of all guests, hotel personnel. Ensures that all Security personnel look out for any suspicious loiterers or articles.
• Patrols public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, and missing or inoperative safety equipment.
• Be familiar with the emergency assembly area outside the hotel and makes aware to all employees of the area.
• Interrogates any suspicious persons to detect any infringements and investigate any disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism, and accidents.
• Strictly adheres to fire/ bomb threat and security procedures.
• Assists in establishing the operational procedures for Fire Prevention and Safety.
• Ensures efficient traffic control at the Hotel driveway.
• Handles any difficult trouble-making guests / patrons in a professional manner.
• Obtains assistance for accident victims and writes accident reports.
• Notifies employees of presence of persons with questionable reputations.
• Assists management and enforcement officers in emergency situations.
• Enters and checks rooms of guests suspected of leaving without paying bill to confirm suspicions and seize any remaining personal property.
• Monitors and maintains CCTV in the Security Control room.
• Coordinates and directs other Security Officers when performing dispatch procedures.
• Establishes smooth working relationship with local authorities and liaises with them on all required regulations and activities.
• Monitors and controls the movement of all employees leaving and entering the hotel through the employee entrance.
• Assists in employee bag checks and periodic locker searches and ensures that they are carried out according to the hotel’s Policy and Procedure.
• Ensures the issuing of all master keys and other keys within the hotel according to the established Key Policies and Procedures.
• Provides guard escorts to Cashiers upon ending of shift from Outlet to hotel’s safe, and to General Cashier from hotel to bank when necessary.
• Reviews scheduled functions, group or VIP arrival events and discuss special instructions with all relevant departments.

• Prior experience with Hyatt is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality industry or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience, including at least two years in a management role, or equivalent experience in a 5 star hotel environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, motivational, and training capabilities.
• Fluent English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Adaptable and responsive to change in a dynamic environment.
• Immediate availability is highly preferred.
