Director of Engineering

• Lead and manage the Engineering Department, ensuring efficient and safe operation of all hotel facilities
• Oversee all technical systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, water treatment, and life safety systems
• Ensure optimal performance, maintenance, and longevity of all equipment and assets
• Establish and implement preventative maintenance programmes and rooms maintenance plans
• Conduct regular inspections and manage repairs, renovations, and capital projects
• Manage CAPEX planning, procurement, and departmental budgets with strong cost control
• Ensure full compliance with hotel standards, SOPs, and local regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and technical documentation
• Drive health, safety, and emergency preparedness across the property
• Support operational teams in resolving technical guest issues efficiently
• Foster a service-driven culture where Engineering enhances the guest experience
• Align engineering strategies with overall hotel business objectives
• Drive cost efficiency while maintaining service quality and safety standards
• Collaborate closely with all departments to support operational performance
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Engineering team
• Oversee workforce planning, scheduling, and team performance management
• Deliver ongoing technical and safety training in collaboration with HR
• Support pre-opening activities and task force assignments as required

• Proven experience as Director of Engineering or senior Engineering leader in a luxury hotel or resort
• Strong technical expertise in building systems and hotel infrastructure
• Solid financial management skills, including budgeting and CAPEX planning
• In-depth knowledge of health, safety, fire, and regulatory compliance
• Strong leadership and team development capabilities with a hands-on approach
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to balance operational, technical, and strategic priorities
• High level of professionalism with a strong focus on quality, safety, and guest satisfaction
