Position: Sales Manager
Department: Sales & Marketing
Report to: Director of Sales & Marketing
1. POSITION PURPOSE
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and market share by proactively selling and promoting all hotel products and services, including:
• Rooms (Leisure & Corporate)
• MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions)
• Events, Gala Dinners & Team Building
• Food & Beverage (Restaurants, Banquets, Catering)
• Guest Experiences & Resort Facilities (Spa, Activities, Packages)
The role ensures achievement of assigned revenue targets across all segments while maintaining strong client relationships and brand positioning.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1. Sales Strategy & Business Development
• Develop and implement monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans aligned with hotel targets
• Identify and penetrate key market segments:
o Corporate accounts
o Travel agents (TA)
o MICE planners
o Government & education sectors
• Actively generate new business opportunities and expand existing accounts (Key Account Management)
2.2. Product Sales & Revenue Generation
a. Rooms (Accommodation)
• Negotiate and manage Corporate Rate Agreements
• Develop group and series business (Leisure & Corporate)
• Collaborate with Revenue Management to optimize ADR, occupancy, and RevPAR
b. MICE (Meetings & Conferences)
• Provide end-to-end solutions including:
o Meeting space
o Audio-visual setup
o Catering services (coffee breaks, lunches, dinners)
• Prepare detailed proposals, quotations, and event costing
• Coordinate closely with Banquet Operations and Event Planning teams
c. Events, Gala & Team Building
• Design and sell comprehensive event packages:
o Gala dinners
o Outdoor events
o Team building programs
• Liaise with event agencies and external partners when required
d. Food & Beverage (F&B)
• Drive banquet and restaurant revenue:
o Corporate events
o Private dining
o Weddings and social functions
• Propose and support F&B promotions and campaigns
e. Guest Experience & Resort Facilities
• Upsell additional services:
o Spa treatments
o Recreational activities
o Local tours and experiences
• Promote bundled packages (room + F&B + activities)
2.3. Sales Cycle Management
• Manage the full sales cycle:
o Lead generation and qualification
o Needs analysis
o Proposal preparation
o Negotiation and closing
• Ensure seamless handover to operations teams
• Conduct post-event follow-up and client feedback evaluation
2.4. Cross-functional Coordination
• Act as the primary liaison between clients and hotel departments:
o Front Office
o Food & Beverage
o Kitchen
o Engineering
o Security
• Ensure accurate communication via Banquet Event Orders (BEO) and internal documentation
2.5. Reporting & Market Intelligence
• Maintain up-to-date records in CRM/PMS systems:
o Client profiles
o Sales activities
o Revenue performance
• Prepare regular reports:
o Sales call reports
o Pipeline and conversion reports
o Revenue forecasts
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities
2.6. Client Relationship & Brand Representation
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients
• Conduct sales calls, site inspections, and client entertainment
• Represent the hotel in:
o Sales trips
o Trade shows and exhibitions
o Networking events

4. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
4.1. Education
• Bachelor’s degree in:
o Hospitality Management
o Business Administration
o Marketing or related field
4.2. Experience
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in hotel/resort sales
• Strong background in:
o MICE segment
o Resort sales
o Group business
4.3. Technical Skills
• Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills
• Ability to prepare professional proposals and quotations
• Good understanding of hotel operations (Rooms Division, F&B, Events)
4.4. Soft Skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Customer-oriented mindset
• Strong coordination and multitasking ability
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets
4.5. Language & Systems
• Good command of English (spoken and written)
• Proficient in:
o Microsoft Office
o CRM / PMS systems
o Business communication tools

6. JOB REQUIREMENTS – RESORT CONTEXT
• Strong understanding of resort-style hospitality and guest experience

• Willingness to travel for sales trips
• Established client network in key feeder markets:
o Ho Chi Minh City
o Binh Duong
o Dong Nai
o Hanoi (if applicable)
