Assistant Sales Manager (FIT and GIT)

Overview:

The Assistant Sales Manager (FIT & GIT) is responsible for supporting the development and execution of sales strategies to maximize room revenue and market share from FIT (Free Independent Traveler) and GIT (Group Inclusive Tour) segments. The role focuses on managing travel agent relationships, generating new business opportunities, and promoting the hotel’s products and services in line with hotel standards and business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation of sales strategies for FIT and GIT market segments to achieve revenue targets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with travel agents, tour operators, wholesalers, DMCs, and business partners.
• Identify new business opportunities and maintain existing accounts to maximize hotel revenue.
• Conduct sales calls, client meetings, presentations, networking events, and hotel site inspections.
• Prepare contracts, proposals, quotations, and business correspondence for clients and partners.
• Coordinate with Revenue, Reservations, Front Office, and Operations teams to ensure smooth handling of bookings and group arrangements.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and travel industry developments to identify business opportunities.
• Participate in travel fairs, roadshows, trade events, and sales missions when required.
• Maintain accurate account management, sales reports, forecasts, and client databases.
• Support promotional campaigns and hotel marketing activities targeting FIT and GIT markets.
• Handle client feedback, operational issues, and special requests professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain strong product knowledge of hotel facilities, room categories, F&B outlets, and services.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, and sales procedures.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Hotel Management.

• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Hotel Sales, preferably handling FIT and GIT segments.
• Experience in luxury or 5-star hotel environment preferred.
• Strong network with travel agents, tour operators, wholesalers, and travel industry partners is an advantage.
• Good understanding of hotel sales processes, market segmentation, and revenue strategies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts effectively.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems.
