- The Assistant Director of Sales is responsible for driving day-to-day sales execution, managing segment performance, and leading the sales team to achieve the revenue targets of Oakwood Residence Saigon and RichLane Residences.
- Serving as the second-in-command to the Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM), this role bridges the gap between high-level commercial strategy and daily market execution. The ideal candidate is a hands-on sales champion who excels at team mentorship, account conversion, and maintaining rate integrity across two distinct properties.
Responsibilities and Execution
- Implement and drive the daily sales tactics that align with the overall commercial strategy, budget, and rate grids set & approved by the DOSM and GM.
- Actively monitor daily/weekly performance against key metrics, including Budget, ADR, RevPAR, RGI, and the optimal segment mix (Short Stay vs. Long Stay).
- Oversee the RFP production and submission process. Ensure the sales team maintains clear account strategies, strict production tracking, and high conversion accountability.
- Assist the DOSM in compiling the monthly Sales & Marketing Report (SMR), sales highlight summaries, competitor analysis, and market share data.
- Act on behalf of the DOSM in their absence, attending executive meetings and maintaining operational continuity.
- Maintain a personal portfolio of high-value key accounts while actively uncovering new business opportunities through personal visits, calls, and networking.
- Conduct regular market analysis and monitor key competitors regarding pricing, promotions, and facilities to ensure both properties maintain a competitive edge.
- Ensure the sales team responds effectively to client requests. Maintain strong relationships with clients and swiftly escalate/rectify any adverse feedback.
- Work closely with the DOSM and marketing team to develop, launch, and train staff on hotel special promotions, packages, and advertising schedules.
- Coordinate, organize, and participate in trade shows, roadshows, and sales trips as required.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the sales team, ensuring team members hit their daily activities, conversion rates, and revenue targets.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team to enhance product knowledge (SWOT), negotiation skills, and corporate standard operating procedures.
- Ensure the sales team is equipped with the necessary tools, databases, and resources to function efficiently.
- Lead weekly/daily sales briefings and cross-departmental alignment meetings to ensure seamless communication.
- Coordinate with the Asset team (under DOSM guidance) for proper approvals regarding all leases and long-stay contracts.
- Report to Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM)
- Works in close coordination with the General Manager, Revenue/Reservations, Banquet/Events Sales, and Front Office.
- Maintains fruitful, professional relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, relocation companies, suppliers, and industry partners

Experience & Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.• Minimum of 3–5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, preferably with a proven track record in serviced apartments or 4-5* hotels.
• Experience as a Senior Sales Manager or Sales Manager looking to step up into a leadership role is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong understanding of revenue management principles, ADR/RevPAR metrics, and market share analysis (STR).
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proven ability to motivate, mentor, and manage a targets-driven sales team.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required; local language proficiency is a distinct advantage.
