Training Manager (01 - year - labor contract)

Strategic Planning & Leadership

• Strategy Development: Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources and key stakeholders to design and execute an annual training strategy and action plan aligned with business goals, brand standards, performance reviews, and future organizational growth.

• Talent Leadership: Provide direction and capability development to hotel-based training leaders to establish high-performance benchmarks across properties.

• Culture Alignment: Partner with regional influencers to lead initiatives that effectively embed company values and core ways of working.

• Financial Management: Collaborate with leadership on the preparation, management, and optimization of the department’s training budget.

Training Design & Delivery

• Core Program Management: Oversee and ensure the effective delivery of comprehensive training programs, including:

o New Employee Orientation & Retraining

o Train-the-Trainer & Technical Job-Specific Certifications (SOPs)

o Customer Service & Forbes Standards Training

o Supervisory, Management, and Leadership Development

• Departmental Collaboration: Partner with Department Heads to design, structure, and implement tailored training programs that address specific departmental needs and ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are met.

• Trainee Programs: Structure, implement, and monitor specialized development programs for international trainees, including Management and Hotel School Trainees.

Quality Assurance, Evaluation & Reporting

• Performance Monitoring: Track the progress of departmental Training Business Plans and utilize IHG benchmarks to evaluate program effectiveness, adapting strategies as needed.

• Quality Audits: Attend and critique departmental training sessions to provide constructive feedback, support departmental trainers, and ensure instructional quality.

• Reporting: Maintain accurate hotel training records and compile monthly comprehensive training reports for leadership and the General Manager.

Communication & Network Management

• Internal Communications: Establish and maintain a dedicated Training & Development communication platform to keep properties and staff updated on the latest strategies, achievements, and training events.

• External Networking: Cultivate and maintain relationships with external vendors, specialist training professionals, and resource suppliers to enhance training delivery and build a comprehensive learning library.

• Employee Relations: Maintain open, regular communication channels with staff to foster positive employee relations and manage the resort-wide employee recognition program.
