The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading and managing the hotel's overall sales, marketing, public relations, digital marketing, and revenue-generating activities. This position develops and implements effective business strategies to maximize hotel revenue, increase market share, strengthen brand awareness, and achieve budgeted targets for rooms, MICE, events, F&B, spa, residences, and other hotel services in line with Centara Hotel & Residences Van Don's standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop and implement the hotel's annual Sales & Marketing plan, business strategy, action plan, and budget in alignment with the hotel's objectives. 2. Lead and manage the Sales, Events, Marketing Communications, and related commercial team members to achieve revenue and business targets.
3. Drive revenue growth for rooms, MICE, events, weddings, banquets, F&B outlets, spa, residences, and other hotel products and services.
4. Identify, develop, and maintain key accounts, including corporate clients, travel agents, wholesalers, OTAs, government offices, event organizers, wedding planners, and strategic business partners.
5. Conduct market analysis, competitor review, business trend monitoring, and customer demand assessment to identify opportunities and recommend suitable business actions.
6. Work closely with the General Manager, Revenue Management, Reservations, Front Office, F&B, Events, Finance, and Operations teams to maximize revenue and improve business performance.
7. Oversee the development and implementation of marketing communications, public relations, digital marketing, social media, advertising, and promotional campaigns.
8. Ensure that all marketing materials, communication messages, advertising content, and promotional activities comply with Centara brand guidelines and hotel standards.
9. Review and approve sales proposals, contracts, quotations, corporate rates, group offers, event packages, and marketing campaigns to ensure profitability and compliance with hotel policies.
10. Represent the hotel at trade shows, sales missions, networking events, familiarization trips, media events, client meetings, and tourism-related activities.
11. Build and maintain strong relationships with media, influencers, tourism organizations, local authorities, business associations, and community partners.
12. Monitor sales performance, market segment performance, account production, campaign effectiveness, online reputation, and guest feedback to ensure
continuous improvement.
13. Prepare regular sales and marketing reports, revenue updates, business forecasts, market intelligence reports, and presentations for the General Manager and corporate office.
14. Lead pricing discussions, promotional planning, packaging strategies, and revenue initiatives in coordination with Revenue Management and Operations.
15. Train, coach, motivate, and evaluate team members to improve selling skills, product knowledge, service mindset, and overall performance.
16. Ensure effective communication within the department and with other hotel departments to deliver smooth guest experiences and successful events.
17. Manage the Sales & Marketing budget, expenses, supplier quotations, purchase requests, and related documentation according to hotel procedures.
18. Handle client feedback, business concerns, and service issues professionally and coordinate with relevant departments for timely service recovery.
19. Support hotel pre-opening, brand launch, public relations, recruitment branding, internal communication, and community engagement activities when required.
20. Ensure compliance with hotel policies, Centara brand standards, grooming standards, confidentiality requirements, safety regulations, and code of conduct.

Yêu cầu công việc
1. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Communications, or related field.
2. Minimum 7-10 years of experience in hotel sales and marketing, with at least 3-5 years in a senior commercial leadership role, preferably in a 4-5 star hotel or international hotel brand.
3. Strong knowledge of hotel sales, marketing communications, public relations, digital marketing, revenue management, MICE, corporate, leisure, wholesale, OTA, and local market segments.
4. Proven track record in achieving revenue targets, increasing market share, and developing profitable business opportunities.
5. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, business planning, negotiation, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
6. Good command of English and Vietnamese, both spoken and written. 7. Good understanding of branding, customer behavior, market positioning, campaign planning, and commercial performance analysis.
8. Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Office; experience with PMS, CRM, revenue systems, sales systems, or digital marketing platforms is an advantage. 9. Professional appearance, positive attitude, strong business acumen, customer- focused mindset, and high level of integrity.
10. Able to work under pressure, travel for business, manage multiple priorities, and lead the team in a fast-paced hotel environment.
