Assistant Security Manager (Emerald Hoi An Riverside)

Scope of work:

• Responsible for the entire operation, staffing, and equipment of the Security Department on a daily basis in conjunction with the Security Manager.
• Consulting Chief Security about the department's activities and performance.
• Being in charge of the entire security operation, staff, and equipment in the absence of the Security Manager.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Support Security Manager to prepare weekly staffing schedules, monitor staff attendance, and assist in planning work schedules.
• Maintain a hotel logbook on incidents, complaints, etc., and refer them, if required, to the appropriate department for follow-up action.
• Prepare various monthly reports as required by Security Manager.
• Make daily reports and random reports as required by Security Manager.
• Conduct regular operational meetings to review, monitor, adjust, and improve departmental performance, while explaining new directions, policies, and procedures.
• Often organize catch-up meetings with shift leaders and staff, and conduct department meetings to address weaknesses or loopholes, adjusting accordingly for better performance.

• College or university degree in Security, Law, Public Administration, or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of security management, fire prevention, and emergency response in a hotel environment.
• Proficient in MS Office and familiar with security monitoring systems (CCTV, Access Control, etc.).
• Basic English communication (listening and speaking) to handle situations involving foreign guests.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in security in hotels, resorts, or similar environments.
• Experience in supervising teams, assigning shifts, and assisting in emergency coordination.

• Honest, responsible, detail-oriented, able to work under pressure, and willing to work shifts or overtime.
• Neat appearance, professional demeanor, healthy and agile.
• Preference for candidates with formal security training, fire safety certification, or military background.
