DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as beach club opener. Make sure to prepare all necessary things needed before the activity of the guest.
- Make sure you have enough dry towels and cold towels during the day. Washing must be done necessarily, especially mask and snorkels, kayaks, sailing boats etc.
- Make sure to double check and do final checking of the equipment before letting the guests use them. Ensure safety before anything else. Guests who wanted to do kayaking, snorkeling or sailing must be properly briefed where the shallow area or reefs are, stronger winds in certain areas, sea condition, wind speed/wind direction and other important information. The most important is to ask them if they know how to operate the equipment, if not, to guide them.
- Render assistance to guest at all times especially when problems occur like when the sailboat / kayaks are capsized.
- During busy period, everyone is required to serve as a beach closer and opener. Make sure to check at the end of the day that all equipment is cleaned / rinsed with fresh water and stored properly.
- Attend regular department morning meetings or briefings at the beach hut. Report in the meeting all updates pertaining to your job and other important information that will help our guest service better.
- Regularly replace and replenish used / soiled towels and bring it to the laundry for washing.
- On rotation basis, you are also required to be in the island as on call guide hand or assist your immediate supervisor/manager in case of emergency situation.
- Make sure to offer cold towels and refreshment after the activity.
- To greet guest in friendly and helpful manner, by using guest’s name at all times.
- Make sure to offer life jacket always and accompany them during sailing especially during the day when winds are strong.
- Be a willing team worker at all times.
- Keep abreast of all company policies and code of conduct by reading and understanding all guidelines issued pertaining to such matters; and performing such duties and functions as specified in the guidelines.
