I worked in Vibe Hotel Marysville as Food and Beverage Attendant for my first industry placement. I had a chance to work in different outlets such as Radius Cafe, Radius Bar and Grill Restaurant. Radius Café • Set up buffet areas for breakfast service • Count float at the beginning and the end of service and complete paperwork related to float • Make a variety of expresso coffees • Refill hot and cold buffet items timely • Ensured tables are efficiently turned over to manage guest flow • Assisted colleagues to maintain service flow and enhance guest experience • Clean buffet areas and check if bread, juice and milk is sufficient for the next day at the end of the shift Radius Bar & Grill Restaurant • Set up casual dining tables for dinner service • Performed mise en place as well as following different sequence of service such as greetings, explain menu to customers, ask for dietary requirement, take the order and put through the Micros • Prepared Non-Alcoholic and Alcoholic beverages and adhere to Responsible Service of Alcohol regulations • Used communication skills when interacting with customers, co-workers, supervisors and chefs so that every process during the dining is smooth and effective • Preparing trays with cutlery, tissue, salt and pepper for room service and perform room service to customers • Set up buffet areas and banquets in the conference room. During the service, I accommodate all guests and is responsible for replenishing buffet food, refilling beverages, remove dirty dishes from tables and assisting in additional task to help facilitate a smooth and efficient service
