This mission included, in particular, the following main tasks: verification of the annual accounts and audit reports, of the compliance of their expenditure with legal basis of EU Financial Regulation and the assessment of the eligibility of expenses for the funding from the budget of the European Parliament; research into the financing systems of political parties in EU member states. Additionally, I followed trainings relevant to the legal rules and framework for the annual financial closing of public entities and acquired knowledge in the fields of public procurement and budgetary verification.
