Reports directly to the Executive Chef
Checks daily menus and function sheets and forecasts
Is aware of the cost factor involved in production.
Offers guidance, support and professional advice to junior kitchen staff.
Provides functional assistance and direction to the kitchen operation as assigned.
Ensures cleanliness and maintenance of the work area at all times.
Makes suitable suggestion to the Executive Chef for the purchase of suitable supplies.
Inspects on a daily basis the buffet display, morning and afternoon tea set up. Ensures the freshness and presentation are within the guidelines of the hotel policy and standards or as determined by the Executive Chef.
