Market Analyst

Job Summary – (Role Summary)

The Market Analyst is responsible for the collection, monitoring and analysis of company financial, marketing and revenue information and to provide recommendations that drive improved results. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills as well as technical knowledge of business applications used in the hospitality industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities of the role)

1. Provide timely, relevant and accurate reports and analysis of performance

2. Establish Key Performance Indicators and other data drivers that facilitate comparison of assets and identify areas of opportunity

3. Management of company Business Intelligence system, including ongoing maintenance of source data feeds

4. Complete pro forma projections for asset acquisitions, repositions and renovations

5. Provide financial analysis of profit & loss statements

6. Provide analysis and performance measurement of digital marketing campaigns; including attribution modeling and recommendations to increase ROI

7. Improve annual budget and ongoing reforecasting processes

8. Create report deck and dashboard that distributes critical information and monitors KPIs

9. Collaborate with department heads and provide analytical support

10. Assist with ad hoc projects and analysis in all areas of hotel operations

11. Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses

12. Facilitate the integration of business processes, people and technology in order to identify and communicate useful information.

13. Responsible for performing special projects to improve efficiency and performance as assigned by management. 

14. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related assignments as directed by management

II. QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s Degree

2. 3+ years Hospitality Experience

3. Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel

4. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

5. Thorough knowledge of hotel profit & loss statement

III. SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

1. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

2. Proficient with MS applications

3. Exceptional work ethic, ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.

4. Strong presence and ability to interact with Senior Leadership

5. Ability to build effective working relationships with others inside and outside the

organization.
