POSITION SUMMARY:

Sewing and mending services of guest clothes, hotel linen and hotel uniforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform sewing duties including altering, fitting and mending for guests, hotel linen and uniforms.

- Fit all new employees with existing uniforms.

- Cut, tailor, mend and alter uniforms.

- Convert condemned items into usable items.

- Sew curtains, cushions and wall coverings.

- Attend to guest requests.

- Assist in the preparation of special functions.

- Maintain equipment and keeps own working area clean.

- Check all linen and uniform repairs on a daily basis.

- Make costumes for special events for the hotel.

- Maintain sewing supplies such as threads, buttons, zippers, linen etc.

- Prepare requisitions for depleted supplies.

- Check condemned linen from Laundry.

- Assist in the linen room duties as appropriate.

- Assist in inventory taking.

- Advise superior of damages and loss of linen / uniform on regular basis.

- Establish and maintains effective employee relations.

- Complete other tasks which assigned by the leader.

- Good communication skills.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATES / EXPERIENCE:

- High School or equivalent.

- 1 year experience as seamstress.
