GENERAL CASHIER

Job Summary – (Role Summary)

• Oversees and directs all aspects concerning cheque/cash receipts and disbursement

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities of the role)

• Be responsible for the control and banking of all daily cash and cheque receipts

• Manages all cash float refurbishment including his/her own fund

• Supervises and controls outlet cashier staff

• Discharges his/her duties in an effective and efficient manner

• Manages all daily cash and cheque collection (from cashiers, bill collectors, etc) with strict respect to hotel policies and to formally reconcile collected amounts with system generated reports on a basis

• Performs daily foreign currency exchange with the officially appointed money changer and check and reconcile all foreign exchange submissions and calculations performed by Front Office and the POS

• Prepares and performs daily banking of all cash and cheques collected

• Prepares all daily basis the General Cashier Report reconciling the daily collection of cash and the amount banked

• Maintains all in-house floats at an appropriate level required by operations and to randomly spot check the float count done by outlet cashiers

• Monitors the daily hotel foreign exchange rates displayed and updated all rates as per hotel policy

• Balances petty cash disbursements in the petty cash float and to ensure the timely reimbursement to employees within hotel policy

• Ensures the safeguard of all cheques and cash received in his/her custody

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE STAFF

Job Summary – (Role Summary)

To collect and review all payment-related documents and initiate creditors' payment in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities of the role)

• Ensure the legitimacy and accuracy of the account payable aging balances.

• Ensure that the payment process is initiated on a timely basis.

• Discharge the duties in an effective and efficient manner.

• Collect and review all documents necessary for the preparation of the payment run (purchase request, purchase order, receiving record, invoice, etc). Ensure the mathematical accuracy, legitimacy, and completeness of the transaction before filing them by Supplier name, awaiting payment.

• Prepare Payable Vouchers and initiate the payment process in a timely manner.

• Perform all Accounts Payable sub-ledger postings and to verify that Accounts Payable sub-ledger and General Ledger balances agree.

• Maintain the filing system for creditors and ensure that on-hand outstanding invoices match with A/P aging report as per the system.

• Perform monthly reconciliations between AP sub-ledger accounts and supplier statements.

• Print a system-generated payment summary and ensure the prompt payment of all invoices selected.

• Stamp all documents "paid" once the payment approval process is completed, to prevent the risk of double payment in the future.

• Properly monitor the issuance of cheques and the safeguard of any unused cheques.

• Answer all queries from suppliers in a professional manner.

• Be ready and responsible when assigned to perform any other duties as designated by higher management.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting or related field.

Experience

• 1-year experience in accounting or equivalent position.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE STAFF

Required Skills

• Demonstrate ability to interact with customers, employees, and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand, and the Company

• Has a broad knowledge of how the business is run, focuses on the major factors necessary to ensure that the business is successful and profitable

• Proficient in the use of Micros Office

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting or related field

Experience

• One year experience in accounting, familiar with Sun and MC system.
