Mô tả công việc

Responsibilities and means

1. Responsible to protect and safeguard all hotel guests, employees, their belongings and all hotel assets. Also ensuring that all hotel properties are adequately secured at all times.

2. Responsible for preparing daily incident reports, requisitions and other inter office memos and ensure that all allegations of the crime and other incidents are investigated and properly recorded.

Technical responsibilities

3. To strictly enforce or develop all rules and regulations, policies and procedures with the reality of situation, particularly those affecting to the property’s security and safety. Responsible for the operation of the security and safety of the building. Report directly to the General Manager (GM) and the City Police whole the issues which related to theft, fire, bomb threats, accidents, etc., as well as preventing the above ones to the lives and belongings of the property’s guests, staff and other persons who are within its premises of boundaries.

4. Running the security and safety of the premises and Security Department.

5. Working and discussing directly entire issues of the company’s safety and security with GM as well as carrying out what assigned by him. To assign responsibilities and duties to his staff or to delegate authority within his own authority as he ensures that everything is done under of controlling of policies and procedures. To establish open relationships with Local or City police (even with The Military if necessary), particularly with the Anti – Terrorism Police and the City Fire Brigade in order to receive their high cooperation and assistance in emergency cases.

6. Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, evaluating in all security and safety activities and its personnel as follows:

Planning for the yearly training programs for all staff and tenants (if essential) on the security and safety such as fire safety system, fire drill, security skills, bomb threat…Develop and implement continuous training programs for Security guards of all ranks to improve their security skills and knowledge performance and efficiency.

8. Planning and carrying out the fire drill every quarter for staff and tenants, so in case of emergency they know how to handle in such cases.

9. Running the administration and operation of the Security Department (including outsourcing staffs)

10. Assure the security and safety of the property’s guests, staff and Belongings.

11. Prevent pilferage, loss and theft of property such as: consumer goods, equipment or parts of any kind of supplies. The CCTV system has to be always upgraded to service for this purpose.

12. Prevent the entry of unauthorized and or undesirable persons into the premises. Increasing the physical patrol system and watching cameras to detect any suspect persons.

13. Supervise and conduct surveillance of the premises’ property, points of entry / exit and required according to security policies and procedures or as directed by the GM.

14. Oversee the operation of, and in conjunction with the Engineering Manager & IT Manager, the maintenances and installations or upgrade of security equipment and systems.

15. Keep close liaison with the local and other Government Authorities on matters such as vice, gambling, violence, theft or other unlawful issues committed within the premises and special security arrangement for certain events and functions.

16. Prepare the annual budget for the Security Department as required by Finance.

17. Send all security and safety report(s) of the operation to the City Police and ask them the cooperation and assistance if necessary.

18. Have kind cooperation and assistance with other Departments in order to make the operation in smooth progress.

19. Often update or revise security and safety policies and procedures if any or some of them out of date.

20. Keep strict rules and regulations and discipline as well towards all Security Guards. This is an important point to maintain the security and safety for the premises.

21. Keep strict measures of security and safety towards the property to prevent disturbance, disorder, fire, theft, natural disaster, bomb threat or other forms of terrorism for all people and property within premises or boundaries.

Human responsibilities

22. Drawing upon the assistance of the HCD Department, and in the environment of multi-skilling and creative rostering, you will be held accountable for the effective management, in accordance with PPHG policies.

23. Responsibility for effective recruitment, training and development, certification, performance evaluation, turnover reduction and optimization of productivity through efficient work practices and staff rostering.

24. Support and listen to all staff members of PPHG.

25. To ensure that all necessary tools and equipment are provided to staff in order to function efficiently.

26. To conduct daily, weekly and monthly meetings with the Security team and related departments for job follow up and information dissemination purposes.

27. To create a good working atmosphere and efficient cooperation in the Security department.

Replacement and temporary missions

28. To perform other related duties and special projects as required by the General Manager.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
College or vocational training
Certification in safety and training and / or licensed as a Security Officer or Law Enforcement Officer may be required. Certified CPR, First Aid instructor and training in law enforcement techniques desired.
LANGUAGES:
Good communication skills both in English and Vietnamese
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
• Good communication skills both in English and Vietnamese
• Working knowledge of local laws, investigation methods, fire codes and life safety codes.
Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities
WORK EXPERIENCE IN OTHER COMPANIES (IN CASE OF EXTERNAL SELECTION):
5 years’ experience as security and safety manager /or military/law enforcement experience
