• Manage and supervise the daily operations of the Engineering Department in accordance with the resort’s standards and guidelines.
• Supervise, delegate duties and support Engineering team members in the performance of their responsibilities.
• Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance Programs for resort equipment, guest villas and public areas.
• Supervise maintenance and repair works and coordinate with external contractors when required.
• Ensure all fire alarm, firefighting, safety and engineering systems are maintained in good working condition.
• Manage the Engineering Store, spare parts, materials and inventory, ensuring proper control and efficient usage.
• Monitor energy and utility consumption and recommend measures to improve energy efficiency and reduce wastage.
• Monitor the Engineering Department’s budget and expenditures to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Train and develop Engineering team members and ensure compliance with safety, fire, hygiene and health regulations.
• Prepare and submit regular reports and coordinate with relevant departments on engineering and maintenance matters.
• Attend meetings and provide recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Engineering operations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned and directed by the Director of Engineering

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant field.
• At least four years of experience in a similar position within a luxury hotel or resort.
• International hotel or resort experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC-R, plumbing, carpentry, electrical engineering and maintenance.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret written instructions, reports and correspondence.
• Ability to multitask across different engineering and maintenance sections with excellent communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and coordination skills when working with hosts and other departments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Very good command of written and spoken English.
• First aid and/or firefighting certification is preferred.
