Duty Manager/Night Auditor

Escarpment Group is a collection of luxury boutique hotels and resorts located in established regional locations of NSW, Australia.

We are inviting experienced hospitality professionals with minimum 3-5 years of management experience in front office management including Night Audit to join our Front Office team in the position of Duty/Night Manager. This is a unique opportunity for front office duty managers with high level of English communication and specific industry experience to join our dynamic team in Australia.

Job tasks and responsibilities:

Duty Managers/ Night Auditor:

• Our hotel duty managers are instrumental in delivering seamless service for our valued guests. 
• Duty managers are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the front desk team.
• Anticipating, and delivering on guests needs, rectifying guest complaints.
• Checking accuracy of data and accounting entries for all transactions, 
• Ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to in order to minimise errors and achieve a high level of guest satisfaction. 
• Night Audit is an essential aspect of the duty managers’ scope and experience in night auditing will be favourably considered

To be successful you need 3-5 years of relevant front office duty manager skills and experience (including night auditing) to meet guest expectations and provide hands-on training for new team members and ongoing training and monitoring of existing team members.

All front of house managers Duty Managers is required to demonstrate flexibility in rostered hours and prepared to work on weekends/public holidays, at times required to conduct Night Audit to ensure Front desk coverage. Knowledge and experience with OPERA PMS is essential along with reservations systems and software within 4.5-to-5-star hotel background.

• Strong communication presentation, and problem-solving skills - minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in 5 Star hotels/resorts

• Solid knowledge of Opera PMS and online hotel reservations software and procedures

• Fluent in English- Do you have IELTs/PTE above 6.0 or equivalent.

• Use of Hotel PMS system. Proficiency in Opera is highly regarded

• Demonstrated employment track record showing progression or management experience in similar role for min 3-5 years.

• Written references from past employer supporting your management role/responsibilities would be preferred.

• Physical fitness to manually handle guest luggage and attend to room/FB service

• Ability to gather the necessary documentations (IELTs, References and Police Clearance) for immigration purposes and commence employment in Australia in the next 1-2 months

• Ability to work and travel independently. Only the main skilled applicant will be approved to travel to Australia.
