Accountant

Escarpment Group is seeking an experienced and proactive Hotel Accountant to join our accounts team based in HCMC - Vietnam!

With a background in hotel accounting and administration, you will a bring a mature, stable and positive approach to accountingfunctions performed in Vietnam in support of our management team based in Australia.

This is a great opportunity for a Hotel Accountant with English communication skills looking for an opportunity to work with aprogressive company.

Job Description

• Daily credit card and general ledger reconciliations;

• Upkeep and maintenance of the General Ledger;

• Oversee the accurate completion of the month-end process

• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions for the Hotel;

• Focus on performance analyses and consequent process improvements;

• To undertake the day-to-day functions of the Accounting Department to ensure all accounting functions including payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable are carried out in a timely & efficient manner;

• Provide accurate and timely reporting of statutory financial information to the Group Financial Controller

• To assist and support the Financial Controller in ensuring the Hotel profit targets are achieved through the control and monitoring of costs;

• Ensure Hotel internal controls are maintained and management policy & procedures are upheld by working with all Heads of Department; and

• Assist the Financial Controller in preparation of weekly & monthly management reports.

To be successful, candidates should have:

• HCM City Office Based

• Good command of English is required

• Familiar with Opera, Micros, Sun System is preferred

• Understanding of both financial and operational aspects within Hotel environment will be well considered
