AC Technician

• Daily inspection and rectification of all refrigeration and A/C equipment and surrounding areas

• Complete daily reports outlining work undertaken for the day

• Complete work orders as requested by the Engineering Supervisor, Asst. Chief Engineer, or Chief Engineer and other directives to meet customer requirements

• Maintain the hotel’s refrigeration and HVAC equipments and all auxiliaries according to the desired standard.

• Initiate/identify project work required for refrigeration and HVAC equipments throughout the hotel

• Liaise directly with departments regarding the completion of work orders and priorities in order of guest satisfaction

• Assist with the implementation of the hotel’s preventative maintenance system and repair log system

• Establish and maintain proper parts inventory levels

• Check and record all refrigerator/HVAC equipments monthly, report to superior of the status of repairs and pending costs and indicate when it would be reasonable to consider replacement

• Participate in instructing colleagues on the proper operation, safety procedures and cleaning of all equipments.

• Conduct and/or participate in staff meeting regarding proper operating and maintenance practices of equipment

• Able to read and write in English

• Able to understand and interpret schematic drawings.

• Able to understand building automatic control systems

• 2 year vocational certificate in Refrigeration and Air conditioning trade.

• 4 years experience in a hotel/apart or high rise building as a HVAC technician .
