- GENERAL MISSION / NHIỆM VỤ TỔNG QUÁT
• To direct and co-ordinate overall activities of the Housekeeping Department.
• To ensure the cleanliness of all rooms and public areas are maintained to the standard required by our hotel.
• To ensure maximum guest satisfaction by conducting regular guest rooms inspections and inspections of public areas as well as the surrounding service areas.
To ensure that all Housekeeping staff are adequately trained for the job including : chemical knowledge, specific job function and health and safety training
RESPONSIBILITIES AND MEANS/ TRÁCH NHIỆM VÀ TÍNH CHẤT
• The Housekeeping Manager is responsible and accountable for maintaining the highest standard of room and public area cleanliness.
• The appearance of these areas reflects on the overall perception of the hotel and is often the “first Impression” that the guest will receive.
• To engender team spirit and motivation in all staff through excellent leadership and mentoring skills. The Housekeeper must be fair and just in any staff disciplinary action as required.
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES/ TRÁCH NHIỆM QUẢN TRỊ
• Delegate to and supervise all Supervisory staff within the Department and assist them in preparing work schedules.
• Conform to and enforce policies and procedures & rules and regulations as laid down by ACCOR and the hotel in order to achieve the highest levels of uniformity and guest service.
• Performs special duties as required by Senior Management.
• To be aware of the Fire and Emergency procedures of the hotel and the role of each Housekeeping staff member in the event of an emergency.
• To suggest to Senior management any necessary improvements for the efficient and effective performance of the hotel.
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ TRÁCH NHIỆM CHUYÊN MÔN
• Responsible for the cost effective rostering of all staff in the Housekeeping Department
• The main objective of the Housekeeper in rostering, is to keep wages to a minimum whilst ensuring the highest possible level of service to the guests of the Hotel and highest level of productivity.
• Prepare weekly staffing schedules, monitoring staff attendance and assist in planning work schedules.
• To conduct a daily briefing of all staff to ensure that everyone is aware of the days requirements and any special events that may be happening (for example – site inspections, show rooms or VIP arrivals)
• Prepare various monthly reports as required by the General Manager.
• Conduct regular operational meetings to review, monitor, adjust and upgrade the performance of the Department as a whole, explaining new directions and policies and procedures at the same time.
• Prepare the annual capital and operating budgets for the Department in conjunction with the General Manager and ensure departmental expenditure is kept within budget.
• Responsible to ensure that all staff under her jurisdiction are at all times following the grooming standards as set out in the employee handbook.
• To ensure that all Housekeeping staff comply with the employee handbook at all times.
• To report any suspicious behavior to the AFOM or duty or the Security Department.
• To ensure that all items found in a guest room after guest check out are recorded and stored in the appropriate manner.
• To ensure that all guest queries regarding lost property items are followed up on a timely basis and a full investigation is undertaken if required.
COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ TRÁCH NHIỆM MANG TÍNH THƯƠNG MẠI
• To handle and resolve all guest queries and complaints in an efficient manner and to establish an amicable relationship with all clients, customers and guests of the hotel.
• Through close supervision recommend improvements and changes to the operation of the Department, especially concerning creating better services standards, increasing revenue and reducing costs.
• Responsible to ensure that all stock/linen and chemical levels and usage are effectively and cost efficiently controlled.
HUMAN RESPONSIBILITIES/ TRÁCH NHIỆM MANG TÍNH CON NGƯỜI
• Plans and organizes regular Departmental training for all staff, specially new staff, paying particular attention to courtesy, efficiency, service standards, grooming, diplomacy and actual job knowledge.
• Identify and develop leadership qualities among subordinates in order to guide them towards the path of career advancement.
• Have a good relationship with all colleagues and be clear and consistent with the application and enforcement of hotel policies.
• Be understanding, supportive, encouraging and helpful to all.
REPORTING LINE/ TRÁCH NHIỆM BÁO CÁO
• Reports directly to the General Manager & EAM
• Work closely with other Departments of the hotel, and attend regular meetings on a periodical basis.
• Participate in providing and receiving constructive criticism with regards to the Department and the Hotel as a whole, in order to improve efficiency, productivity

Yêu cầu công việc
• Certificate or diploma in hospitality or related field
• Minimum 2 years in housekeeping position, minimum 1 year as Supervisor
• Housekeeping/Supervisory experience in similar level of hotel e.g., 3*, 4*, 5*. 6*
• Certified Trainer or on Job Trainer
Competencies
• Technical skills for Housekeeping/Laundry
• Supervisory and leadership skills – collaborative, enabling, and entrepreneurial
• Interpersonal skills well developed with guests, employees, management
• Use/knowledge of PMS e.g., Opera, FOLS
• Able to solve problem/make decision within scope
• Attention to detail especially cleanliness, room presentation
• Able to work independently, reliable, self-directed
