General Cashier

1. To collect, with an assigned witness, all Cashiers’ remittance envelopes from the drop-safe and to verify them against the Cashiers’ daily witness sheet daily

2. To count, together with the witness, cash, cheques and credit card vouchers and verify them to the Cashiers’ computerized remittance report details daily

3. To report any discrepancy that may be noted and report to Assistant Financial Controller/FC

4. To receive and record in the general cashiers’ daily report and include in the daily deposit all cash and checks received on hand

5. To prepare and make the bank deposit. To assure that all receipts for the day are deposited the following banking day intact, make currency exchange report for bank .

6. To prepare General Cashiers daily report

7. To issue official receipts for all checks and cash receipts

8. To provide all outlet cashier with required small denomination and plan for the extra change for long weekends and holiday to support their operation

9. To reimburse all outlet cashier for the disbursement made by them in accordance to their operation(due backs)

10. To prepare and submit such foreign exchange control report as may be required by local law.

11. To secure approval from the Financial Controller or Assistant to update foreign exchange rates at the Front Office according to daily bank information.

12. To assist accounting representatives in surprise cash counts of the outlet cashier funds

13. To pay petty cash disbursements which are approved by the Financial Controller and General Manager

14. To ensure that the combination to the General Cashier’s safe is not known to anyone other than the General Cashier.

15. To ensure that encashment of employee’s personal checks and cash advances are made only if they have the approval of both the General Manager and Financial Controller.

16. To count and balance his/her own house bank daily.

17. To maintain custody and supports of unclaimed wages.

18. Input VAT outlet in excel file for petty cash payment

19. Prepare for all daily journal for cashier and petty cash, and making reconciliation for all related account

20. To maintain organized files of all pertinent cash records
