Senior Officer, General Ledger (Hoiana Residences)

SCOPE OF POSITION

The Senior Officer, General Ledger supports management with financial and operational information while assisting in overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions. The Senior Officer, General Ledger holds a complex, high-impact role which is responsible for assisting the oversight all accounting functions, internal and external reporting, internal controls, tax, budgeting, and forecasting.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
• Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for other managers.
• Develop, modify, document, and coordinate the accounting system and accounting control procedures.
• Prepare and review inter-company transactions.
• Prepare and review of standalone financial statements.
• Analyze and document balance sheet and income statement fluctuations.
• Document and assist in the implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Responsible for reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and preparation of month end and adjusting journal entries.
• Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Manager, Property Finance or above from time to time and assist in any ad-hoc project
• To be ready and responsible when assigned to perform any other duties as designated by higher management.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; minimum two years of experience in General Ledger; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in hospitality industry is a plus
• Must have working knowledge and experience with a General Ledger department.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet assigned deadlines
• Detail-oriented
• Technical proficiency and knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Strong analytical skills and able to work independently
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in English both verbal and written.
