Job Summary:

The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for managing all laundry operations in the hotel, including washing, drying, ironing, and proper distribution of linens, uniforms, and guest laundry. This position ensures that high cleanliness and quality standards are maintained, machines are operated safely, and the laundry team works efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily laundry operations including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distributing hotel linen and uniforms.

• Ensure guest laundry is handled carefully and delivered back on time, meeting hotel quality standards.

• Assign tasks and schedule shifts for laundry staff based on business volume and priorities.

• Monitor the quality of laundry output, ensuring cleanliness and proper presentation.

• Maintain inventory of linen, uniforms, chemicals, and laundry supplies; coordinate replenishment as needed.

• Train and guide new staff in laundry procedures, machine handling, and safety protocols.

• Ensure laundry equipment is used properly and report any breakdowns to the Engineering department.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the laundry area in compliance with health and safety standards.

• Work closely with Housekeeping and other departments to ensure smooth linen flow.

• Prepare daily operational reports and update management on issues or special requests.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in hotel laundry operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

• Good knowledge of fabric care, laundry chemicals, stain removal, and equipment handling.

• Strong leadership, organization, and time management skills.

• Basic English communication; additional languages are a plus.

• Physically fit, detail-oriented, and able to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
