Assistant Director of Engineering

• Support the Director of Engineering in overseeing daily engineering operations
• Supervise the Engineering team and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Oversee maintenance of all systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programmes
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure timely repairs and upgrades
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation
• Support CAPEX planning, procurement, and cost control
• Assist in resolving technical guest issues efficiently
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations
• Support training, development, and performance management of the team
• Promote a strong safety culture and service-oriented mindset

• Proven experience in a similar role within hospitality (luxury environment preferred)
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems and hotel infrastructure
• Good understanding of safety, compliance, and preventive maintenance practices
• Basic financial knowledge with exposure to budgeting or CAPEX
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Hands-on, proactive, and detail-oriented approach
• Leadership capability with a focus on team development
