Quality Control and Hygiene Officer

Quality Control:

• Establish and maintain quality standards for all aspects of hotel operations in collaboration with Management Team.

• Develop and implement procedures, guidelines and checklists to ensure consistency in service delivery and operational processes.

• Regularly review and update quality control measures to reflect changing guest expectations and industry trends.

Hygiene & Safety:

• Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP): ensuring food safety by identifying and controlling biological, chemical, and physical hazards in food production

• Identify potential hazards that could make food unsafe.

• Implement and oversee hygiene protocols across production and facility areas.

• Conduct regular hygiene audits and risk assessments.

• Train staff on hygiene practices, PPE usage and sanitation procedures.

• Monitor environmental conditions (e.g., air, water, surfaces) for contamination risks.

• Ensure compliance with local and international health and safety regulations.

Audits and Inspections:

• Plan and execute regular internal audits to evaluate the hotel's adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.

• Coordinate with department heads to schedule audits, inspections and evaluations of various hotel functions.

• Analyze audit findings and collaborate with department managers to address deficiencies and implement corrective actions.

Reporting and Communication

• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management outlining quality performance, audit results, and improvement initiatives.

• Communicate effectively with department heads and staff to ensure a clear understanding of quality expectations and goals

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology or a related field

• HACCP certification and Food Safety Management System (FSMS) certification

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality control or hygiene management, preferably in the food processing or hospitality industry

• Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, hygiene standards and food safety regulations

• Proficiency in auditing and inspection techniques

• Excellent data analysis and reporting skills

• Knowledge of Vietnamese food safety regulations

• Familiarity with international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001)

• Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office suite

• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language.

• Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

• Good communication and customer contact skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Service oriented with an eye for details.

• Ability to work effectively and contribute in a team.

• Self-motivated and energetic.

• Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times.
