Senior Manager DevOps & AI

SCOPE OF WORK

Oversee end-to-end delivery of on-premises software solutions, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance across hotel environments. Drive development and enhancement of systems supporting guest services, reservations, property operations, and back-office functions. Ensure seamless integration with third-party hospitality platforms (payment gateways, booking engines, channel managers, loyalty systems). Balance modernization initiatives with maintaining legacy/on-prem infrastructure and applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Lead and manage a team of 5–10+ software developers delivering mission-critical hospitality applications (e.g. PMS, POS, booking, business operations systems)
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of on-premises software solutions, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance across hotel environments
• Drive development and enhancement of systems supporting guest services, reservations, property operations, and back-office functions and AI solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration with third-party hospitality platforms (payment gateways, booking engines, channel managers, loyalty systems)
• Balance modernization initiatives with maintaining legacy/on-prem infrastructure and applications
• Provide architectural and hands-on guidance across:

• Design resilient systems optimized for on-site deployment, including offline capability and low-latency performance
• Ensure reliable operation across distributed, multi-property hotel environments
• Align solutions with hospitality operational workflows
• Plan releases and deployments to minimize disruption to 24/7 hotel operations
• Deliver systems that improve guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and revenue management
• Enforce secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices, including secure coding, code reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability management
• Ensure strict protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII), including guest profiles, payment data, and employee records
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, privacy laws, internal data governance policies)
• Mitigate risks specific to on-premises deployments, including local storage vulnerabilities and physical system access
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team
• Drive a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement
• Conduct performance management, coaching, and career development planning
• Manage workload and staffing across multi-property deployments and support demands

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related to IT filed of study.
• Strong English communication skills
• Strong understanding of, Data structures & algorithms, Object-oriented design, Design patterns
• Full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Agile / Scrum methodologies
• Work with APIs, microservices and related system integrations
• Experience in building AI applications, and understanding of AI design principles
• Code reviews & mentoring junior developers
• Minimum of 5 years in leading and developing software solutions.
• Mobile application development and web development is an advantage in the Hospitality industry
