Assistant Project Manager – Infrastructure

Manage infrastructure works of a fast-track resort and casino development project in Vietnam Assist to manage the project construction by planning, coordination with operators, supervising and managing consultants and contractors to ensure that all infrastructure works are completed on schedule, within budget, safely and at the highest levels of quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Support to maintain proper coordination among different internal teams
• Support coordination among infrastructure consultants, utility authorities, operators and contractors to ensure infrastructure design deliverables and authority approvals are issued in line with construction schedules.
• Support coordination among consultants and contractors to resolve technical issues related to roads, earthworks, utilities, drainage, sewerage, water supply, power distribution and other external infrastructure works.
• Assist in reviewing and managing infrastructure consultants and contractors to ensure practical, cost-effective and functional infrastructure solutions and construction methodologies.
• Assist for selection and appointment of consultants and contractors.
• Join various coordination meetings and progress meetings to facilitate the coordination process.
• Project planning and task scheduling.
• Progress monitoring and reporting.
• Identify delays, risks and technical issues related to infrastructure works and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective actions in accordance with project requirements, contracts and specifications.
• Assist to ensure works are completed on time, in high quality and within budget.
• Support to ensure safety and housekeeping is kept in good level on construction site.
• Assist in verifying infrastructure work progress, site activities, material deliveries and contractor performance for progress reporting and payment certification purposes. Join and witness (randomly or requested by direct supervisor) onsite/offsite inspections with CM and consultants, including pre-construction testing, construction mock-up review, material/equipment submission and approval, workmanship control, testing and commissioning, to ensure CM/consultants provide good services as per their SOS/SOW.
• Monitor NCRs, defect rectification, punch lists, testing records and as-built documentation related to infrastructure systems and external works.
• Join and witness completion inspection/final inspection and handover.
• Support to facilitate coordination among operators and contractors for problem solving during operation, maintenance and guarantee periods.
• Other tasks as requested by direct supervisor.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related disciplines.

Experience

• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in project management, construction management, infrastructure management, or real estate development.
• Proven experience managing medium to large-scale projects from design development through construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Hands-on experience coordinating consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience working with local authorities, statutory approvals, and Vietnamese construction regulations is required.
• Experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, or mixed-use projects is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of project delivery processes, design management, construction methodologies in infrastructure, and contract administration.
• Solid understanding of cost control, scheduling, cash-flow management, and risk management.
• Ability to review and interpret drawings, specifications, BOQs, contracts, and technical submissions.
• Familiarity with Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, and Environmental requirements on construction sites.
• Proficient in project management and reporting tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera, Excel, PowerPoint).
