Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure to handle and maintain all equipment properly

• To provide monthly work plan to the Chief Engineer for approval

• To ensure preventive maintenance schedules are performed and correctly recorded

• To inspect daily all plant rooms, kitchens, service outlets and record any defects for rectification

• To ensure preventive maintenance schedules are performed and correctly recorded

• To report to the Chief Engineer of any out of order equipment that will affect hotel operation

• To notify the Chief Engineer of any non-productive equipment use

• To ensure Engineering maintenance requests are performed and correctly recorded and pending issues to inform to the Chief Engineer

• Liaison with external Govt. agencies based on requirement

• To ensure new work orders that have been approved by the Chief Engineer are performed and correctly recorded

• Any matter which may affect the interests of hotels should be brought to the attention of the Management

• Maintain all the equipment as per the specified standards

• Respond to queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner

• Ensure to complete all the tasks assigned in an effective and efficient manner

• Complete the necessary reports, work orders, etc. as required

• Ensure to practice Safety in all aspects of the job, while attending all kinds of jobs

• Maintains high levels of personal hygiene

• Follows all safety and security measures and Safeguard and protect Property

• To ensure adherence to all statutory regulations and fire codes by regularly reviewing policies and safety procedures

• Contribute to the hotel’s profitability by ensuring the effective management of the buildings environmental controls and energy conservation systems

• Evaluate, control and record energy usage and implement and upgrade energy conservation systems

• Organize team motivational activities and ongoing training to staff

• To acquire and put into practice the multi-skilling in the engineering staff

• To notify the Chief Engineer of any breach of the hotel’s employee rules and regulations

• To ensure each section of the Engineering is managed effectively, and results in maximizing productivity and quality of work

• Plans and implements a preventive maintenance program to try and achieve “zero” defects for all equipment in the Hotel

• Ensure that plant and equipment are correctly operated Engineering and Plant and equipment to suit the needs of the property.

• To assist the Chief Engineer on all aspects of engineering, environmental controls and the operational efficiency of the property

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity

• Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language

• High degree of professionalism with good human resources management and business acumen capabilities
