TAX ACCOUNTANT

1. Tax Compliance

• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with tax authorities.

• Prepare, review and submit all statutory tax declarations (VAT, CIT, PIT, Foreign Contractor Tax and other applicable taxes) accurately and on time.

• Ensure compliance with prevailing tax laws, accounting regulations and Company policies.

• Review the accuracy and legality of VAT invoices, contracts and tax supporting documents.

• Maintain complete tax records and supporting documentation in accordance with statutory requirements.

2. Tax Reporting & Reconciliation

• Reconcile tax accounts with the General Ledger on a monthly basis.

• Prepare tax reconciliations, schedules and supporting reports for monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing.

• Prepare and submit the annual Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Personal Income Tax (PIT) finalization returns.

• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements from a tax perspective.

3. Tax Audit & Government Authorities

• Act as the primary contact with tax authorities.

• Prepare tax documentation and provide explanations during tax inspections, audits and inquiries.

• Follow up on tax assessments, tax refunds and other taxation matters with the relevant authorities.

4. Tax Advisory & Internal Support

• Monitor changes in tax regulations and assess their impact on the Company.

• Provide tax guidance and advice to internal departments regarding tax compliance.

• Support tax planning initiatives to improve tax efficiency while ensuring full compliance.

5. Other Responsibilities

• Maintain proper filing and documentation of all tax-related records.

• Support accounting reconciliations and other accounting activities where required.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the GL Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or a related discipline.

• Good understanding of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), Enterprise Accounting System and prevailing tax regulations.

• Sound knowledge of Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Value Added Tax (VAT), Personal Income Tax (PIT), Foreign Contractor Tax (FCT) and Tax Administration Law.

• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.

• Knowledge of internal control procedures and statutory documentation requirements.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Tax Accounting.

• Experience in the hospitality, tourism or service industry is preferred.

• Hands-on experience in tax compliance, tax finalization and dealing with tax authorities.

• Experience using ERP or accounting software.
