Hotel Manager

Role & Responsibilities:

• The Hotel Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the Property.

• Work with Exco to achieve the Property business objectives and meet/exceed financial targets.

• Lead and manage the Property operations, keeping operations creative, productive, safe, and sustainably profitable.

• Develop and lead execution of strategies and plans to improve growth and profitability of the Property.

• Provide sound financial and business decision-making, develop and manage budgets, procure sensibly and sustainably while managing costs to agreed business objectives.

• Provide direction and functional guidance for all Property operations.

• Ensure superior guest services and compliance with high quality operational standards.

• Work effectively with Department Heads and provide guidance, feedback and coaching when needed to improve operations and service.

• Train, develop and motivate the Property team to meet and improve operations standards on a continual basis while attending to their developmental needs through coaching, mentoring, and helping them to improve their knowledge, skills and vocational attributes.

• Recruit, develop and retain talent to sustain and grow the Property operations.

• Demonstrate honesty, integrity and professionalism by example, providing effective leadership, sustaining a positive work environment, caring for employees and displaying a dedicated and professional approach to management.

- Two-month probation period with full salary

- University diploma / degree, preferably in Tourism (or equivalent Hospitality and Tourism studies)

- High level of English and of a second language (preferably that spoken by the majority of the hotel clients).

- Knowledge of the workings of all operative departments.

- 2 years in the same position in hotels of a similar category.

- 2 years in a position immediately below or 1 year in the same position in hotels of a similar category.
