Main Duty

• Always at the entrance to acknowledge and greet arriving guests as per standard
• Escort guest to the table and assist in seating and present the menu as per standard
• Answer telephone as per standards.
• Organize station and seating fairly and efficiently and hand over carefully to colleague as being on break.
• Take order from guests, including in-villa dining and take reservation request from guests with accurate information.
•  Set up tables and serve food & beverage as per standard. Ensure taking full of services step by step as per standard.
• Recommend and upsell daily special, ensure there is no waste.
• Recommend and upsell food for guests according to guests’ preferences, hobbies reasonably.
• Recommend and upsell beverages ( aperitif, cocktail, wine, digestif,…) for guests according to food order, guests’ preferences.
• Promptly check guest satisfaction during meal and courteously invite guest to return.
• Ensure guest’s billing to be correct and complied with standard.
• Handle flexibly and effectively unexpected situation during operation and keep supervisor being updated, contact superior if any problem which cannot handle by yourself.
• Follow the leadership of the captain or supervisor on shift.
• Report maintenances faults and cleanliness issues to respective departments and superior
• Support other outlets together from By The Beach/ Elephant Bar/ By The Market/ In-villa-dining in case urgent and necessary.
• Ensure all mis-en-place are well-prepared if have special functions or events.

• Full high school education and completion of his or her chosen academics.
• Two years or more of experience in a host/hostess role or similar.
• Full knowledge of the operations of restaurant and bar procedures, set up and service in addition to the resort’s policies, any courses relating to further knowledge of restaurant service.
• Very good command over written and spoken English.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to multitask.
• Heavy lifting of materials up to 25lbs may be required.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
