ROLE SUMMARY
Retail Shop Supervisor supports Shop Manager / Assistant Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the retail shop, driving sales performance, coordinating the shop team, and delivering a high standard of customer service.
The role will also support client development, wine tasting events, promotions, and other sales activities to contribute to the overall growth of the shop.
Report Line: Shop Manager / Assistant Manager / CEO
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Shop Operations & Team Support
Support Shop Manager / Assistant Manager in managing the daily operations of the shop.
Coordinate and supervise shop staff during daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Provide guidance and support to shop staff in achieving individual sales targets and maintaining service standards.
Help create a positive and professional working environment for the shop team and seasonal staff.
Support the team during peak hours and ensure appropriate floor presence and customer coverage.
Monitor daily shop activities and promptly report operational issues to Shop Manager / Assistant Manager.
2. Sales & Customer Development
Support the shop in achieving monthly and overall sales targets.
Handle customer transactions and sales, including private customers and corporate accounts under the B2C channel.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while supporting the acquisition of new customers.
Support the development and reactivation of the customer database through regular follow-up and sales activities.
Promote wine products, wine culture, and relevant sales offers to customers.
Support online and onsite sales activities in line with company sales targets and directions.
Monitor customer feedback and market information and share relevant insights with management.
3. Wine Events & Customer Engagement
Support the planning and coordination of weekly and monthly wine tasting activities.
Assist in hosting VIP, Wine Club member, individual, and group wine tasting sessions.
Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure events are properly prepared and delivered.
Support customer engagement activities at the shop and during wine events.
4. Promotion & Cross-functional Coordination
Coordinate with Takashimaya, Marketing, Wine Club, and other relevant teams on promotions and customer activities.
Support the implementation of sales campaigns, promotions, and other commercial activities at the shop.
Ensure shop staff are properly informed of and follow relevant promotional programs and company guidelines.
5. Reporting & Administration
Support Shop Manager / Assistant Manager in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operational reports.
Monitor sales activities, customer development, and other assigned performance metrics.
Ensure shop procedures, company policies, and operational standards are properly followed.
Perform other duties and assignments as reasonably requested by Shop Manager, Assistant Manager, or CEO.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable hosting and supporting small or large groups during wine-related activities.
- Wine knowledge, education, and/or relevant qualification is an advantage.
- Able to work during peak hours and adapt to flexible working schedules.
- Calm, polite, and professional when handling pressure or challenging customer situations.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Able to work independently while being a strong team player.
- Passionate about premium wine and customer experience is an advantage.
EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 years of experience in retail, hospitality, F&B, wine, or a related customer-facing environment; or
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory/team leader role, preferably in premium retail, hospitality, F&B, or wine.
- Experience in fine wine retail, wine sales, or wine events is an advantage.
