Storekeeper

Objective of the position:

• To ensure the efficient operation of storeroom activities, including receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and monitoring goods and supplies, in accordance with established procedures and inventory control standards.

• To put ROBINSON concept into practice

Scope of duties and responsibilities:

• Do the necessary work to make sure that all food, beverage and general supplies items received are transported to the proper storeroom as quickly as possible, are properly priced and shelved neatly.

• To make sure that all merchandise entering the storeroom must have proper documentation (PR/PO, market list, etc) and to initial for all goods taken into the store.

• To make sure that the oldest items are issued first

• Preparing grocery list/beverage list or purchase requisition when the stocks are below par stock or consider necessary.

• To check goods delivered against Purchase Orders to other purchase records in terms of :

• Quantity: all goods will have to be weighed (e.g. fresh fruit, vegetable, meat, etc) or counted (e.g. packs, boxes, etc), Check the expiration date

• When the quantity is not the same as that in the Purchase Order, the amount in the delivery note and invoice should be crossed and change with the actual amount.

• The actual amount received should not exceed that in the Purchase.

• Quality: the quality of goods delivered is in accordance with the specification stated on the Purchase Order.

• When the quality is different than what is ordered, the goods should be returned, when receiving the goods should call the department to check the quantity.

• List all Receiving Record numbers in the logbook. The Daily Receiving Sheet should record the date. PO/ML, receiving Record No., Suppliers, Invoice No., Quantity, Unit Price...

• Maintain cleanliness of the receiving area/To keep the storeroom clean and neat.

• To perform whatever other tasks are required to ensure the proper team effort between Purchasing, Kitchen, F&B & Management and Accounting.

• To assist in the taking of month end inventories according to the direction of the Cost Controller.

• Perform other tasks as requested by Head of the department

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position, preferably in a hotel or resort.
• Basic knowledge of inventory control, receiving procedures and stock management.
• Good organizational skills, attention to detail and honesty.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with other departments.
• Good communication skills and basic computer skills.
