DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- 1. Mix and pour alcoholic and soft drinks to order, receiving payment or charge vouchers.
- 2. Maintains bar in neat, clean and attractive condition and keeps stock in prescribed manner.
- 3. Prepare and pour drinks to waiters/waitress or to customers directly.
- 4. Stock service bars and serves catered parties.
- 5. Wash glasses and other bar accessories and equipment.
- 6. Take inventory and maintains records of drink popularity.
- 7. Review wine types and stocks popular brands and kinds.
- 8. Oversee cocktail lounge and supervises bar staff.
- 9. Prepare garnishes for mixed drinks and may premix drinks.
- 10. Must be able:
(a) to mix all common types of alcoholic beverages and know the proper procedures for handling and serving the various types of wines;
(b) to know portion control and methods for serving catered affairs;
(c) to be capable of operating the service bar without assistance;
(d) to keep accurate records of all sales at the bar and the control of cash and credit documents.
