- Work in conjunction with Country General Manager to actively manage keys property issues (including capital project, customer service, refurbishment) - To be responsible for the entire Hotel & Restaurant operations. - The scope of responsibilities covers the financial results (revenue, cost of sales, payroll & related expenses, other expense, departmental income, gross operating income, net operating income) of the Hotels & Restaurants. - Responsible for the standards of the product, service, management of human resources. - Establish the Departmental Annual Operating Budget in conjunction with the financial controller and department heads for approval by the Country General Manager and Owners. - Ensure that the Hotels & Restaurant Budget is strictly adhering to and that all costs are strictly controlled. - Available to greet arrivals/departures in the lobby and handle guest requests if required - Public Relations of the hotels and Restaurant in the community. - Collaboration with sales to elaborate on sales strategies. - Collaboration with Property Hotel Manager, Sales and HODs on social media strategies. - Guest (complaints & compliments) correspondences directly and online. - Review existing and initiate new departmental guidelines as required in conjunction with the department heads. - Submit a monthly financial report to the Country General Manager - Submit a departmental activities report for the past month and planned activities in the ensuing month. - Planning and development of Head of Departments by the Setting of goals and objectives. - Rewards, sanctions and dismissal of staff with the approval of the Country General Manager. - Organization of the Assessment Appraisal standards of the Department heads in conjunction with the General Managers. - Assist in the building of an efficient team of employees by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety, training and development. - Ensure that all employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to the resort’s Staff Handbook. - Selection of potential new employees in liaison with the Personnel Department and General Managers within budgeted guidelines. - Ensure that all staff provides a courteous and professional service at all times. - Constantly review and appraise the procedures within the hotel to ensure quality of service and product at all times. - Conduct daily & weekly meetings with the department heads ensuring good communications at all times - Ensure all aspects of communications are operated to standard and recorded per policies. - Ensure department heads work is accurate and all responses to guest related issues are prompt and precise. - To be directed to perform jobs and tasks over the above what is required from the Hotels & Restaurants. - Being appointed to be responsible and oversee operations of other hotels & Restaurants in the group if required or as directed by the Country General Manager.
