During my tenure as a Service Crew member at McDonald’s, I worked in a high-energy environment where I was responsible for delivering efficient service and maintaining strict quality standards. My primary duties included handling cash transactions, ensuring food safety protocols were met, and maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area to provide a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role required me to be highly adaptable, working across various stations to support the kitchen and counter teams during peak hours. A highlight of my experience was being selected to serve as a Store Host. In this role, I represented the brand during the Christmas season by visiting different schools to host their holiday parties. I was responsible for leading the program, organizing interactive games, and ensuring that all the children and guests had a fun and memorable experience. This allowed me to develop strong public speaking skills and the ability to engage with large groups of people in a lively, professional manner. I received a competitive hourly wage, and the company often provided team-building activities and incentives for outstanding performance during busy seasons. I eventually left the position to focus on my academic requirements and my 3-month internship in Hospitality Management. When a client called regarding a broken appliance, I was responsible for troubleshooting the issue and immediately scheduling an authorized vendor to perform the necessary repairs. Beyond basic support, my role involved managing sales inquiries, processing fund disbursements, and maintaining constant communication with both international customers and third-party vendors to ensure a seamless service recovery process. My compensation consisted of a competitive base salary, which was significantly enhanced by a performance-based incentive structure. The company fostered a highly motivating environment through various social and professional activities; meeting our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and maintaining high Quality Assurance (QA) scores directly resulted in bonuses and extra incentives. This setup encouraged a strong focus on efficiency and excellence in every interaction. I eventually transitioned from the company because my role was a contractual engagement.
