Transportation Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all transportation activities, including scheduling, route planning, and vehicle maintenance.
• Supervise a team of drivers and transportation staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Develop and implement efficient transportation schedules and processes to enhance service delivery.
• Monitor and manage transportation costs, including fuel, maintenance, and staffing, to ensure efficiency and budget adherence.
• Ensure compliance with all local transportation laws and regulations.
• Handle the procurement and maintenance of vehicles, ensuring they are safe and meet the needs of the operation.
• Train new staff on safe driving practices and the use of transportation technology systems.
• Respond to transportation-related issues and emergencies with prompt and decisive action.
• Analyze transportation data and reports to identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency.

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory role within transportation or logistics.
• Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage a team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of local transportation regulations and laws.
• Experience with transportation management systems and software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
