ENG - Engineering Intern

1. Learning & Skill Development

- Learn and practise maintenance and repair techniques across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

- Assist with preventive maintenance schedules and equipment inspections under supervision.

- Learn to read technical drawings, manuals, and equipment specifications.

2. Maintenance Support

- Support Associates in responding to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner.

- Assist with routine checks of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.

- Help maintain tools, equipment, and the engineering workshop in a clean, organised condition.

3, Safety & Compliance

- Adhere to the resort's safety, fire prevention, and occupational health and safety procedures at all times.

- Learn and apply lock-out/tag-out and other safety protocols when assisting with repairs.

- Maintain a high standard of personal grooming and uniform presentation.

4. Communication & Learning

- Maintain open communication with Associates and supervisors, reporting issues or hazards promptly.

- Actively participate in training sessions and required meetings to develop skills.

- Record completed tasks and maintenance activities accurately as directed.

5. General

- Support energy-saving and sustainability initiatives within the department.

- Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.

- Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

1. Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a College degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field

2. Working experience: No prior experience required; internship or part-time experience in a technical/maintenance role is a plus.

3. Professional knowledge and skills:

• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems.
• Eager to learn resort engineering systems and procedures.
• Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.

4. Attitude and behaviours:

• Positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn.
• Passion for hands-on technical work and problem-solving.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.

5. Language proficiency: Good command of written and spoken English to meet business needs; additional languages are a plus.

6. Other skills:

• Able to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
• Flexible to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
