REC - Public Area Attendant (Pool Area)

As a Pool Cleaning Attendant serving WorldHotels, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Swimming Pool Area Cleaning

- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of designated swimming pool areas and surrounding facilities.

- Sweep, mop, and clean pool decks, walkways, and other designated surfaces.

- Remove rubbish, leaves, and other debris from poolside areas.

- Clean and maintain poolside furniture and designated fixtures.

- Empty rubbish bins and ensure waste is disposed of in the designated areas.

- Perform periodic deep-cleaning tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Cleanliness, Hygiene & Presentation

- Ensure poolside areas are clean, tidy, and presentable throughout the shift.

- Clean designated public-area facilities associated with the swimming pool in accordance with established procedures.

- Use appropriate cleaning methods and approved products for different surfaces.

- Replenish cleaning-related supplies as required and report shortages to the supervisor.

- Maintain the required cleanliness and presentation standards in accordance with WorldHotels Resort Standards.

Cleaning Equipment & Supplies

- Use cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies correctly and safely.

- Clean and store equipment properly after use.

- Report damaged equipment, maintenance requirements, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.

- Use cleaning materials responsibly to minimise waste and prevent damage to surfaces.

Safety & Hazard Reporting

- Follow established cleaning procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.

- Use appropriate warning signs when cleaning wet floors or other potentially slippery surfaces.

- Keep walkways and access routes clear of rubbish, equipment, and other obstructions.

- Promptly report damaged surfaces, broken fixtures, spills, or other hazards to the supervisor.

- Handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with product instructions and Resort procedures.

Guest Service & Teamwork

- Greet guests politely and maintain a professional, helpful attitude when working in guest-facing areas.

- Respond courteously to guest enquiries within the scope of the position and refer other requests to the appropriate department.

- Coordinate with Public Area, Recreation, Engineering, and other relevant teams to maintain the cleanliness and condition of poolside areas.

- Report guest concerns, unusual incidents, or operational issues to the supervisor promptly.

- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

• Working 5.5 days per week.

Education

- Basic education is preferred.

- Relevant cleaning or housekeeping training is an advantage.

Working Experience

- Previous experience in housekeeping, public-area cleaning, or a similar position is preferred.

- Experience in a hotel or resort environment is an advantage.

Professional Knowledge

- Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, tools, equipment, and cleaning products.

- Understanding of cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace safety practices.

- Ability to follow cleaning procedures and instructions.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Good time management and ability to complete assigned tasks efficiently.

- Basic communication and guest-service skills.
